SQUEEEE! So, I did something pretty big! With encouragement from a dear friend, I entered a juried contest and was awarded an opportunity to publish a workbook. That’s the short story, and I’m excited to share it with you.
I submitted twenty-one poems in twenty-one days and then collaborated with a fine group to craft a digital and paperback copy of the book. From start to finish, the editing processes, cover section, and notes took a little over a year. COVID happened, my publishing team had difficulties, and the three-month process turned into more than a year and a half to complete this piece of work.
I had fun, and I learned a lot in the process, not only how to write a book but also how to let my mind wander and not be so left-brained as to consciously tap into my right side.
I’m proud. It felt good to write.
